SEO - H1 and H2 Tags

SEO - H1 & H2 Tags
If your like me, you will keep reading about how important these H1 & H2 Tags are in SEO and think, OK.. but what are they and where do they go? The 'H' tags actually go from h1 right through to h6. They are in fact nothing more than tagged sub-headings and should be placed in the body of your page. (for example see picture 1 below). Having said they are nothing more than tagged headings, it seems quite a common belief that they are important for good rankings. I don't know whether this is correct or not although it does make sense. Some say the infamous googlebot loves H1 & H2 tags and quite if including them really helps I honestly don't know. Those who have read my other DIY - SEO related article at http://www.qondio.com/seo-a-practical-diy-guide-to-getting-to-page-1-on-google-for-free will already know I have managed to get to page one on google results and without using 'h' tags. However they are now included on my new site I am working on and I will see how it goes. I guess the rule of thumb should be if your successful competition is using them – So should you
